Swag Boxes: Overview & Best Practices

Updated today

Swag boxes are one of the most powerful tools we offer for brand awareness, lead conversion, and customer retention. Whether you're using them to break through the noise of cold outreach or welcome new hires, Stitchi makes it easy to build a thoughtful, branded experience—at scale.

Below, you’ll find key information about how our swag box program works, what to expect, and how to get started.

What is a Stitchi Swag Box?

A Stitchi swag box is a custom-branded kit that includes physical products, printed materials, and packaging—fully assembled and delivered to individual recipients on your behalf. Use them to:

  • Break into new accounts through cold outreach

  • Surprise & delight prospects during a sales cycle

  • Welcome new hires or partners

  • Celebrate anniversaries or key milestones

Packaging Options

We offer two flexible packaging formats:

Format

Description

Best For

White Mailer + Custom Sticker

Cost-effective & scalable; branded sticker wraps around a clean white box

Pilot runs, budget-conscious outreach

Fully Printed Mailer

Full-color custom print on all box surfaces

High-volume runs or brand-driven campaigns

Tip: We recommend starting with the white mailer + sticker to reduce cost (saves ~$10–15/box) while still delivering a premium impression.

Typical Budget & ROI

Most of our outbound-focused swag boxes fall in the $100–$150/box range. At that price, many of our clients see strong ROI, especially in sales motions where each conversion is worth thousands.

Example

A client with a $5,000 ACV sends 50 boxes (~$5,000 total). If just 1 additional deal closes, the campaign pays for itself.

What Goes in the Box?

We curate each box around your audience and goals. For cold outbound campaigns, we recommend:

  • Useful, everyday items relevant to the recipient (e.g. sketchpads, pencils, sticky notes, drinkware)

  • Branded packaging that reflects your identity

  • A handwritten note — proven to drive engagement and conversion

  • Educational content (e.g., postcard with QR code to landing page or pitch deck)

Apparel and high-end merch can be added for later-stage retention or client gifting, but are typically not the focus for first-touch outreach.

Sales Best Practices

For sales-driven campaigns:

  • Always include a handwritten (or templated) note to make it feel personal

  • Add a QR code that links directly to a relevant landing page

  • Aim to educate and delight
